Leftover Turkey Use #2 – Turkey Broth

Do you ever get frustrated with trying to carve every little bit of meat off your turkey? I do!
My solution – don’t stress about getting every scrap of meat off. Instead throw those turkey bones with the meat you can’t remove into your slow cooker. Add a small handful of salt and a tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Fill the slow cooker with water and set on high for 12 hrs.

You can do this several times depending on how big your bird was. I did it three times and I made an awesome amount of broth that I then canned. You can see the broth is different colours depend on if it was the first, second or third batch of broth. The darker the more potent but the lighter ones still are super flavourful and nutritious.
