Ok posting my arepa recipe since a few people asked. I took another pic with the flour package in the background. You need this special flour to make them. Luckily it’s cheap and available on or a grocery that sells South American foods.

Again these are gluten free and very simple to make. They are an amazing bread alternative.

2 cups harina pan (either white or yellow)
2 cups warm water
Pinch of salt
Oil for frying

1⃣Mix harina pan and salt in a bowl. Then mix in the warm water and knead into a dough until a nice moldable consistency.
2⃣ Grab a handful of dough and shape it into a palm sized patty. Repeat with rest of dough.
3⃣Heat oil in pan until outside gets hard about 5 mins a side.
4⃣Bake at 200 degree for 15-20 mins. If you tap them and they sound hollow they are done!
5⃣cut in half and stuff with whatever you like!! We’ve done breakfast arepas as pictured and dinner arepas with chorizo, queso fresco and roasted red peppers.
